Ghost Hunts

HISTORY

The Park Hotel was built in 1900 and remained that way until its closure in 2010.

Many stars of the stage would have stayed at The Park after performing at the nearby Morecambe Winter Gardens Theatre. Famous faces to have performed there are Laurel and Hardy, The Rolling Stones and George Formby.

The things take a darker turn. It is believed there have been 16 deaths to have occurred in The Park, of both guests and staff! Also, when The Park was bought by its current owner, shrouds were found hanging from a ceiling and a human skull was found in a sink. Could this indicate some kind of satanic worship having taken place?

The furniture you see in the Park Hotel is original, right down to some of the beds still having unmade sheets on them from the last guests to stay there.

HAUNTINGS

The Park Hotel is still fairly new to the ghost hunt scene, and it is still being discovered who haunts the building. Although full bodied apparitions have been seen of people in Victorian clothing.

Crying is heard and the screams of a woman have been heard of several occasions. The scream was caught on film by investigators of the TV show Paranormal Lockdown. You can watch a clip by following the link below.

People report feeling touched and pushed by unseen hands. TVs often turn on by themselves in the night, and always to a war film!

Who wouldn’t love to explore these vast abandoned hotel rooms? What stories do they have to tell? Now is your chance to find out.

Read a full account of the hotel’s history and hauntings here.
