Ghost Hunts

HISTORY

Nantclwyd y Dre is a Grade I listed building in Ruthin, Wales. It was built in 1435, and is Wales’ oldest dated timber house.

Elements of the building and garden suggest there were originally two burbage houses on the site, dating back to the 1200s.

As well as being a home, there have been many other uses of the building. In 1834, judges visiting the area used the house as a lodge. The building was used as a girl’s school in Victorian times. In 2007 it became a living history museum and remains that way today. It is also a ghost hunt venue.

HAUNTINGS

The spirits of Nantclwyd y Dre seem fond of using technical equipment to energise themselves. Batteries are known to drain quickly, and problems with technical equipment arise frequently.

Full bodied apparitions are seen, as well as shadows and strange mists. People report feeling touched and even choked by unseen hands.

Unexplained bangs and creepy dragging sounds are heard.

Dare you explore this ancient building to try and discover who resides?
