Ghost Hunts

Jack The Ripper Museum is set in Whitechapel, the heart of the scene of the ‘Whitechapel Murders’.

Set in an Victorian shophouse built in 1899, the museum replicates the style houses from the time of the murders despite being built shortly after the last one.

Now number 12 Cable Street, the building previously on the site was known as number 4. That previous building was a shop belonging to Charles Henry Harrod, and the earliest version of the famous store we know today.

Planning permission was granted for a ‘Museum Of Women’s History’. However, much to the shock of many, the Jack The Ripper Museum opened instead in 2014. Attempts to have the museum closed down failed.

In fitting with the appearance of the perfect haunted house, the activity reported doesn’t disappoint.

Shadow figures are seen throughout the building and eerie moans and groans have been heard. Unexplained icy cold blasts of air appear from nowhere, and objects disappear all by themselves….

Are you brave enough to spend the night in this building with its replica mortuary complete with autopsy photos of the victims? Not to mention countless objects associated with the most infamous and elusive serial killer of all time?
