Hereford Shire Hall was built in 1819 and acted as the town hall as well as the Courts of Justice.
Before the shire hall was built, a gaol existed on the site. Many prisoners were hanged on the front steps outside the gaol.
Hereford Shire Hall boasts the 6th oldest working court in the country and the hook that held the judges black cap that was worn when sentencing death can still be seen in place today.
A woman who was tried for witchcraft is said to haunt the shire hall.
Audible phenomena seems to be most common at Hereford Shire Hall. Loud, unexplained bangs are heard and strange metallic sounds. Disembodied footsteps are also often heard.
Dark shadows are seen and bad, unexplained smells are often experienced.
Dare you investigate this building, on the site where many offenders lost their lives?
