Ghost Hunts

Fulford Manor, known as Great Fulford House, has served as a home to the Fulford family for over 800 years.

Despite renovations and maintenance, current owner Francis Fulford states ‘the house has grown larger and certainly more civilised though the medieval bones of the original house still lurk under the plaster and panelling.’

The house was caught up in the Civil War and was severely damaged in 1642. The family moved to Dorset and the house lay in ruin until the late 1600s. Colonel Francis Fulford stepped in and completed all of the needed repair work.

The house boasts many original features including 16th Century wood panelling and grand staircases.

Ghost stories relating to the manor have been told by the Fulford family for years. They have experienced frightening activity including being pinned down in their beds by unseen hands and having doors around the manor slammed regularly.

Full bodied apparitions have been seen countless times, as well as strange lights and mists.

Are you brave enough to investigate this historic home?
