Ghost Hunts

HISTORY

A building on the site of Bradwell Farmhouse existed as far back as the 1600s, but this current was built in the 1700s.

A priory stood on the site long before this. Many of the Benedictine monks who lived at the priory are believed to have perished as a result of The Black Death. By the late 1500s, the building was falling into great disrepair. The few monks who continued to live in these conditions were struggling. The building was demolished and the new farmhouse sits on its foundations. Remains of the priory moat and fishponds still exist today.

HAUNTINGS

Many guests staying at the hostel have reported very strange activity. Clothes have been packed away by unseen hands as guests sleep, as well as other objects moving on their own. People also report waking up after something blowing on their face, and feeling strong static shocks.

Full bodied apparitions have been seen around the property and shadow figures are known to vanish through the walls. A maid in an old grey uniform and several monks have all been witnessed. Eerie moaning has also been heard.

Dare you brave the ancient farmhouse? Many have visited and vow never to return!
