Falstaffs Experience
LOCATION INFORMATION

LOCATION: Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire, UK

DATE BUILT: 1500s.

GRADE LISTED: Grade II

HISTORY

INTERESTING FACTS: The building, which is also known as Shrieves House, has ties with William Shakespeare. William Rogers, the inn keeper of the time had a daughter called Elizabeth and she was friends with Shakespeare’s daughter Suzannah.

The building sits on no fewer than five Ley Lines! A possible explanation for the abundance of paranormal activity experienced.

The house has hidden priest holes and secret chambers.

CLAIM TO FAME: William Shrieve, who was the first recorded tenant of the house, was an archer to King Henry VIII.

The building received a certificate from the Wiccan Institute “in recognition of a greater amount of paranormal and spirit activity than any other building/site”.

GRIZZLY HISTORY: The building has witnessed the Great Plague in 1665, two fires, the English Civil War and both World Wars.

DEATHS: The serial killer that is said to haunt the building is rumoured to have committed his crimes in the building when it served as an inn.
