DATE BUILT: 1251, and restored from 2009 to 2011

GRADE LISTED: Grade I

ORIGINAL PURPOSE: A manor house

OTHER USES: From late 1800s to 1940s, the hall acted as a working men's club, and included a gym, bowling green and skittle alley. It was also used as a clergy training school from 1898 to 1908. It was home to a radio station during World War II. It is now a local history museum and a ghost hunt location.

• The White Lady - some say she is Lady Margaret Radclyffe who died in 1599, broken hearted after the death of her brother.

Audible: Bangs. Children heard.

Visual: Strange lights. Shadows seen.

Intelligent: John affects the ladies with his embarrasing advances.

Sensory: Smells of roses - linked to the presence of Cecily. People getting pushed. Temperature drops. Feelings of sorrow.

Poltergeist: Doors opening on their own
